Merry Christmas 2009!!! We have been enjoying our first Christmas with Miss Mia. We went out and cut down a great big tree near Rollag. Dustin was very quick to cut it down - I barely got a picture of him! Mia discovered that she could tug on the tree when she was playing below it the other day. Baby-proofing we will begin!!! We went to see Santa with Arnie & Amanda and the kids at Breakfast With Santa in Hawley early in the month. Mia was very interested in Santa's beard. We are enjoying a quiet day at home this Christmas since the weather has haulted any traveling today. We love snow days though!!! More pictures to come... =)

Carston's Baptism - Nov 15th, 2009
The family took a trip to Minneaplis to celebrate Carston's baptism and Brielle's 6th birthday. Mia enjoyed seeing all her cousins again and as you'll see below, making "nice" with Carston! They are about 3 months apart but you can't really tell by looking at them! Mia is such a tiny little Turkey. =)
Brielle was very excited for all her wonderful birthday gifts and Lauren was so sweet to her baby cousin Mia. They are great friends already and love playing together. It is so fun to see all the kids interact!

We had a great 1st Thanksgiving with Mia. On Turkey Day we traveled to Grandma Mary's house for some great food and celebrated with the Jelinek side. Then Friday the Halden's came to town and stayed until Sunday. Mommy cooked a great big feast for the family and she knows Uncle Paul is still dreaming of more pie and ice cream! =) It was so much fun having Mia's cousins stay over at our house. Sadie was in heaven - her biggest fans were here to play!!!
Happy Halloween 2009!!! Mia's first Halloween was lots of fun. She dressed up as a pumpkin and Sadie was a dinosaur again. They looked so cute in their outfits! Mia had a Halloween Party at daycare and they put her in a big pumpkin! It was a fun day. Mommy & Daddy took her to the nursery in Glyndon to pick out pumpkins and fall decorations. She thought all the pumpkins were really neat and loved sitting on them!

Mia Grace is 6 month old now! Wow, how fast the time has gone by. Mia is such a little ball of fun. She is the most smiley little girl we've ever seen. She still loves playing in her exercauser but is also using the walker to get around the house now. She does a good job of pushing herself backwards but not forwards too often yet. She is now eating most 1st foods - green beans, squash, sweet potatoes, etc. She is NOT a big fan of carrots but loves bananas. Peaches make her flinch a bit because they are so sweet. Mommy & Daddy laugh with her when she's eating those fun peaches. She is rolling over both ways all over the place and loves to stand up with help. Daddy says she will be crawling for about 2 days and then will just take off running all over the house soon. Grandma Mary says if Mia is anything like her Mommy, she'll be walking by 7 months. We'll just have to wait and see! Mia also loves watching her puppy Sadie. She watches her in amazement and loves to pet her. When Sadie barks, Mia laughs. It can get pretty chaotic at times but we are loving every second of it! Mia also moved up from her old bath to a bigger blow up pink duck. She loves to kick and splash herself and Mommy & Daddy every night when she's taking her bath. It's so much fun being clean!!!
Mia Grace turns 5 months old! This month Mia has been discovering her hands and all they can do for her more and more! She enjoys playing under her Gym and LOVES her new exercauser and all the toys on it. She always seems to find the tag on anything in front of her and that is what fascinates her the most. Mia also loves to take her daily report sheet from daycare away from Mommy & Daddy and chew on it. I guess we've entered the "I love to eat paper" phase! =)
